G-Type offers an extensive range of custom type services and we’re ready to tackle any brief you throw at us! So whether you’re after a fresh new bespoke font with pan-European language coverage or you just want a couple of characters tweaked we’re happy to discuss your requirements.

Here’s what we can help you with:

BRAND NEW TYPEFACE DESIGN
After establishing a brief we can produce brand new type concepts from scratch and develop the chosen style direction into a fully functioning font with as many bells and whistles as you want. Take a look at some previous projects we’ve undertaken for the likes of Vauxhall, Reebok & Sun Life on our custom font page.

WORKING UP OR FINESSING CLIENT ARTWORK
You may be competent enough at handling the initial type style development or creating vector artwork of the alphabet but need expert help to refine the outlines and handle the font production. No problem!

CUSTOMISING EXISTING FONTS
You are not permitted under the terms of our EULA to modify G-Type fonts in any way whatsoever; let us know what you want and we’ll handle it for you. If it’s not a G-Type font we’ll insist on acquiring permission from the original designers to modify it or collaborate directly with them to deliver what you’re after.

EXTENDING A FONT’S CHARACTER SET
Drawing missing characters or symbols, adding stylistic alternates, extra weights or styles etc.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT
We’re skilled at extending the territorial scope of a typeface by designing the language glyphs you need and adding extra codepages such as Cyrillic, Greek, Turkish, Arabic etc.

OPENTYPE FEATURE PROGRAMMING
Take advantage of our expertise with OpenType Features. We can create small caps, style sets and ligatures which are programmed to appear automatically in your font when using OT savvy applications. Most of our own G-Type fonts take advantage of OpenType programming technology to achieve outstanding results.

LOGOS & LETTERING
